3 Covid & 4 dengue cases reported in Dehradun in 24 hours

Dehradun district reported three new cases of Covid-19 and four new cases of dengue on Wednesday. The chief medical officer (CMO), Dehradun, Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma informed that three locals had tested positive on Wednesday. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the district to 94, consisting of 79 locals and 15 migrants. Currently, there are five active Covid-19 cases: four are receiving treatment at home, while one is being treated at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rishikesh.

Dr Sharma also informed that in addition to the Covid-19 cases, four new positive cases of dengue had been reported on Wednesday. Of them, one patient each is being treated at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital and Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) while two are recuperating at Himalayan Hospital. 

This takes the cumulative total of confirmed dengue cases in the district to 168 with 87 cases originating from Dehradun and 81 from other districts or states.

 Currently, there are 15 active dengue patients receiving treatment: nine at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, three at Himalayan Hospital, two at GDMC and one at Graphic Era Hospital.
