Expressing dismay at the ruckus raised by the opposition members in the first day of the monsoon session of Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that frustration of the defeat in the recent Panchayat elections was reflected clearly in the behaviour of the opposition.
Interacting with the media persons at Bharadisain, the CM said that the government had decided to hold the session in Bharadisain even in the rainy season because Gairsain is the centre of the sentiments of the people and all the MLAs, officers and employees have reached here despite facing problems associated with road closure. He said that it was expected that a healthy discussion on the issues of public interest would take place inside the house but the opposition members showed no interest in debate. Taking a dig at the opposition, the CM said that though it is demanding discussion on law and order situation in the State the opposition members behaved in an inappropriate manner and broke rules of the house.
Dhami claimed that the Panchayat elections were held in a free, fair and transparent manner and immediate action was taken where there were some issues. He said that the Congress always raised questions on the election commission, electronic voting machine and election process wherever it lost elections. The CM also criticised the opposition members for breaking the furniture inside the house on Tuesday.
