Govt removes BRIDCUL MD over charges of irregularities

Following the complaints of corruption, the State administration has removed managing director (MD) of Bridge, Ropeway, Tunnel and other Infrastructure Development Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited (BRIDCUL) NP Singh from his position. The order of removal of Singh was issued by Secretary Pankaj Kumar Pandey.
As per the order action against Singh has been taken on the complaint against him by one Ankit Singh of SR Infratech NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh. Considering the complaint as of serious nature and the one requiring a high level inquiry, Singh was removed from the position of MD so that he could not influence the investigation against him. Singh has been attached to the office of the additional secretary Public Works Department (PWD).
He was appointed MD of BRIDCUL in the month of June 2024. Singh has worked as chief engineer PWD prior to his appointment in BRIDCUL which is a construction and work execution agency of the State government.
