A slew of proposals for development works meant to ensure a well-organised Kumbh Mela to be incorporated in the Namami Gange project have figured during a meeting of National Mission for Clean Ganga held here on Friday presided over by the Kumbh Mela officer, Sonika.
At the meeting, a detailed presentation was made on various proposals, including arrangements for the upcoming Kumbh Mela, construction of ghats, development of green ghats, solid waste management, STP plant, drinking water system and museum construction. The fair officer said that along with the construction of three new ghats, a proposal for green ghats has also been put forward, keeping environmental protection in mind.
The director, Urban, National Mission for Clean Ganga, Delhi, Dheeraj Joshi stated that all submitted proposals would be presented to the NMCG, New Delhi.
