A case of cyber fraud has once again come to light in Dehradun where an unidentified person allegedly withdrew money from a man’s bank account online without the account holder’s knowledge. The victim, Rajendra Kandwal, a resident of Sahastradhara Road, has filed a complaint at the Cyber Police Station.
According to the complaint, the fraud was committed on January 14 and January 15. During this period, about Rs two lakh was withdrawn from his bank account and Rs 44,300 from his another account. The complainant stated that he had neither carried out these transactions nor had they shared his details with anyone. Police have registered an FIR and investigation has been started in this case.
