According to officials, the complainant informed the Vigilance Establishment that the accused had demanded a bribe of Rs 80,000 from him in exchange for arranging an electricity connection and increasing the electricity load for an apartment purchased in his wife’s name. After receiving the complaint, the team planned a trap operation. As per the plan, the moment Atul Kumar accepted the bribe amount, the Vigilance team caught him red-handed at the spot.
