Uttarakhand moving forward at fast pace on all fronts: CM Dhami

The CM presents report card on completion of 4 years of BJP government in the State

Presenting a report card on completion of four years of his government at ‘ Char Sal Bemisal’ programme organised at Parade Ground here on Monday, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami averred that in the last four years, the economy of the State has grown by more than one and a half times. He said that in the last one year, the State’s GSDP has increased by 7.23 per cent. In the last four years, the per capita income has increased by 41 per cent while more than 20,000 industries have come up in the State. The CM added that the number of start-ups has increased from 700 to 1,750 and there has been a 44 per cent increase in reverse migration.
“Four year ago during the swearing in ceremony at this very ground, I had taken a pledge to restore the glory of Devbhoomi, as envisioned by the statehood activists. Now, four years later, I can proudly say that that work is being done at a fast pace to fulfil the pledge’’.
Dhami said in the Sustainable Development Goals Index ranking for the 2023-24 released by NITI Aayog, Uttarakhand has got first rank which is a testament to the State government’s efforts.
He added Uttarakhand also earned the Achievers category in the Ease of Doing Business and the Leaders category in the Start-up rankings. It also secured second place among Himalayan states in the India Innovation Index report released by NITI Aayog. The State has also been honoured ‘Most Film-Friendly State’ in the country.
Highlighting the changed work culture in the State, the CM said that now every project whose foundation stone is laid gets completed on time and gets inaugurated.
The CM said that previously, the dreams of talented youth in the state were shattered due to cheating and paper leaks and to curb the practice the State government enacted a strict anti- copying law.
In the last four and half years, more than 30,000 youth in the State have got government jobs in a fair and transparent manner. The CM said that in the past, only small-time criminals were prosecuted in corruption cases in the State but today, even big-time criminals are being arrested.
He said that the State government is striving to protect the divinity of Uttarakhand and preserve its demography. The government has enacted strict anti-conversion and anti-riot laws. He stated that the State government has liberated over 12,000 acres of government land from encroachers. Dhami said that Operation Kalnemi was launched to apprehend those who defraud people in religious disguise. He stated that the State government has implemented the Uniform Civil Code, a law that has been appreciated by nationalist thinkers across the country. He averred that from July this year, all Madarsas in Uttarakhand will only teach curriculum approved by the government board.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the State government has worked hard to raise the standard of living of citizens by strengthening road, education, health, rail and air connectivity.
Dhami also listed successful hosting of G-20 conference, 38th National Games and Global Investors Summit as some of the other achievements of the State government in the last four years.
CM inaugurates & lays foundation stones of projects worth Rs 401. 86 Cr
DEHRADUN : Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami used the platform of the ‘ Char Saal Bemisal’ programme held at Parade Ground to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of a total of 74 development projects for Dehradun district. These projects are worth Rs 401.86 crore. He laid the foundation stones of 33 projects of Rs 99.44 crore and inaugurated 41 development projects of Rs 302.42 crore on the occasion.
The inaugurated projects include, STP under Namami Gange at Sapera Basti, trunk sewer line between Araghar to Mothorowala and between Saharanpur chowk to Patharibagh. He laid the foundation stone of the sewerage scheme at Canal road, flood protection work on the right bank of Bandhal River and other works.

CM Dhami takes out road show in Dehradun
DEHRADUN :Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took out a massive road show on Monday to mark completion of four years of his government in Uttarakhand. The well attended road show commenced from Kanak Chowk and ended at the Parade Ground which was the venue of the main programme of the government on the day. Cabinet ministers Subodh Uniyal, Ganesh Joshi, Khajan Dass, Ram Singh Kaida, Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, Dehradun Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal, MLAs Sahdev Pundir, Umesh Sharma Kau, Vinod Chamoli, Savita Kapoor, Munna Singh Chauhan and Brijbhushan Gairola accompanied the CM in the programme.
