Modi pats Dhami’s back on completion of 4 years of BJP govt in office

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated the State BJP government and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on completion of four years in office in the State.   In his message, the PM said that under the leadership of the energetic CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, Uttarakhand is progressing rapidly in the field of development, good governance and public welfare. 

Referring to Uttarakhand’s cultural and spiritual heritage, Modi said that for centuries, the State has been a land of faith, spirituality, courage and rich traditions. “ Its diverse languages and dialects, folk traditions, and simple lifestyle give the State a unique identity,’’ he said.  The PM said the State has been scaling new heights in development since the BJP came to power in the centre.

He said that under the Char Dham All Weather Road project, work to make the Char Dham Yatra safe and easy is underway while rail connectivity in the state is being strengthened through the Rishikesh-Karnprayag railway line. 

Praising the efforts of the State government to enhance connectivity and promote winter tourism in its border areas, the PM said that these initiatives have not only boosted tourism but also helped curb migration and strengthen the local economy.  He also commended the State government’s efforts to promote local products, empower women, create employment for youth, promote start-ups and promote digital and green development.

The PM added that the participation of every citizen of the state is crucial in building a self-reliant, prosperous and strong Uttarakhand.
