The district magistrate, Udham Singh Nagar, Nitin Singh Bhadauria reviewed the Pantnagar Airport expansion on Thursday and directed the director of Pantnagar Airport to expedite the airport boundary work. He said that any buildings on the airport expansion land that have not yet been demolished should be demolished soon.
Also, he directed the executive engineer, UPCL, the sub-divisional magistrate and the officials working for the Pantnagar University to conduct a joint inspection and shift the power line immediately. He said that the trees that are to be cut should be cut only after taking permission from the Forest department. He instructed all the officials to work in coordination for the airport expansion work.
