PM’s austerity appeal: Joshi rides two-wheeler to office

 Cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi followed the appeal of austerity by Prime Minister Narendra Modi by using a two wheeler to reach his camp office on Monday. After attended a programme organised to mark one year of Operation Sindoor at Garhi Cantt on Monday, Joshi surprised everyone when a drove a two wheeler ( scooty) on his way to his camp office.

 PM on Sunday had appealed the people to use austerity measures in view of the ongoing situation in West Asia. 

Joshi said that in the current global situation, it is every citizen’s responsibility to use resources judiciously and avoid unnecessary fuel consumption. He appealed to the people of the State to use two-wheelers, public transport or shared vehicles whenever possible for short distances. This will not only save petrol and diesel but will also contribute in environmental protection. 

The minister resolved that he himself will use two-wheelers as much as possible for local events and short-distance tours so that a positive message of fuel saving and simplicity reaches the general public.

He added that the message given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the countrymen regarding judicious use of resources is very important not only from the economic point of view but also in the interest of the environment and future generations.
