Selja holds meeting on Vidhan Sabha poll strategy

The in-charge of Uttarakhand Congress Kumari Selja held a series of meetings with the senior leaders, heads of the frontal organisations and the party functionaries on her first day of her two day visit on Wednesday.
She held a brainstorming meeting with the Pradesh Congres Committee (PCC) president Ganesh Godiyal, leader of the ppposition in Vidhan Sabha Yashpal Arya, the chairman of the election campaign committee Pritam Singh, chairman of the election management committee Harak Singh Rawat, former PCC president Karan Mahra, former Vidhan Sabha speaker Govind Singh Kunjwal, Pradeep Tamta and Qazi Nizamuddin.
The co-incharges Surendra Sharma and Manoj Yadav were also present in the meeting. In the meeting strategies for the 2027 Vidhan Sabha elections were discussed in detail. In the meeting Selja appreciated the efforts of the State leadership for Rahul Gandhi’s visit.
Selja also held a meeting with the district and Mahanagar presidents of the party. She sought a report card from all the district and Mahanagar presidents. A roadmap for the next three months was also shared in the meeting. Discussions on strengthening booth committees, taking the party’s ideology to the masses, accelerating protests against the BJP’s anti-people policies and engaging every worker were held in the meeting.
In the meeting with the heads of the frontal organisations of the party, Selja expressed displeasure with the inactivity of some frontal organizations and said that the role of all cells and departments should be strengthened and everyone must take equal responsibility in every programme of the party.
In these meetings the in-charge emphasized the need to strengthen the organization, spread the party’s ideology to the booth level and intensify the movement against the BJP’s anti-people policies.
