SIR in Uttarakhand: 98 % enumeration forms distributed

The booth level officers (BLO) have completed 98 per cent of the enumeration form distribution work in Uttarakhand under the ongoing process of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in the State. The additional chief electoral officer (ACEO), Uttarakhand Vijay Kumar Jogdande told the media persons that in the five districts, namely Champawat, Rudraprayag, Almora, Chamoli, Pithoragarh and Pauri, more than 99 per cent forms have been distributed. Whereas 95 per cent forms have been distributed in Dehradun, 96 per cent in Nainital, 97 per cent in Nainital and Tehri each. 

He further informed that the process of digitisation of the enumeration forms by BLOs has also started and so far 12 per cent digitisation work is complete. The ACEO said that 33 per cent digitisation is complete in Almora, 25 per cent in Pauri and 23 per cent in Pithoragarh districts. Only four per cent forms have been digitized in Nainital, seven per cent in Dehradun and about eight per cent in Udham Singh Nagar district. 

Jogdande informed that all the districts have been instructed to complete this campaign in a time bound manner. He informed that 22,900 booth level agents (BLA) have been deployed by all the recognized political parties in the State under SIR. The ACEO said that after the end of form distribution and digitisation work on July 7, the reorganisation of the polling booths will commence. 

The draft electoral roll will be published on July 14 and from this date to August 13 the voters can register claims and objections. Meanwhile, all the notices will be issued from July 14 to September 11 and claims and objections will be resolved. The final voter list will be published on September 15, 2026.

 Jogdande said that voters can also fill their enumeration forms online through the ECI Net App. He informed that for the convenience of voters, the Election Commission of India has launched the ‘Book a Call with BLO’ feature, through which voters can book a call with their BLO with just one click.
