A total of 35,270 commercial vehicles have participated in the ongoing Char Dham Yatra from March 29 to June 16, deputy transport commissioner Shailesh Tiwari said.
Tiwari informed that green cards have been issued to all 35,270 vehicles as per the prescribed regulations. These vehicles have collectively completed 72,904 trips during the current yatra season so far.
The figures reflect the extensive transportation support being provided to pilgrims undertaking the Char Dham Yatra, He added.
For comparison, a total of 32,008 commercial vehicles participated in the entire Char Dham Yatra during the previous season.
