STF arrests Gadarpur man for alleged anti-national activities

The Special Task Force (STF) has arrested a man from Gadarpur in Udham Singh Nagar district for allegedly engaging in anti-national and radical activities through social media platforms. The accused has been identified as Mohammad Salauddin, a resident of Majra Sila village.
According to STF officials, the arrest was made following confidential inputs regarding the suspect’s activities. During the investigation, STF personnel examined the accused’s mobile phone and allegedly found chats, groups and posts on Telegram and Signal linked to radical and extremist ideologies.
Based on information provided by the accused during questioning, STF teams recovered an English-made pistol, five live cartridges, four detonators and two AK-47 cartridges.
Officials stated that the accused was allegedly using social media platforms to spread extremist content and influence young people. Further investigation is underway to ascertain his links, activities and the source of the recovered arms and ammunition.
The STF said additional legal action will be taken based on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
