UJS receives 2,289 complaints in 19 days, resolves 1,340

The Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan (UJS) received 2,289 complaints related to water supply and other services between June 1 and June 19, according to official data.
Residents lodged complaints through the UJS helpline numbers 1800-180-4100 and 1916, which remain operational for consumers facing water supply-related issues across the State.
The data revealed that 1,340 complaints had been resolved by June 19, while efforts are underway to address the remaining grievances.
Among all categories, complaints related to “no water supply” were the highest, accounting for 1,631 cases. Officials attributed the large number of such complaints to increased pressure on water supply schemes during the peak summer season.
The UJS continues to monitor the situation and has urged consumers to report water supply issues through its helpline services for prompt redressal.
