The Bharatiya Janata Party State president and Rajya Sabha member Mahendra Bhatt said that Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation from the position of the Union Education minister is the best ethical decision in the interests of students and the nation. He expressed hope that confusion being spread as part of the conspiracy and the clouds of negativity will clear now. Appealing to the students who were agitating to not be misled, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi cannot compromise with the bright future of the youth.
Interacting with the media at the BJP State headquarters here on Saturday, Bhatt said that Pradhan’s entire political and social life has been impartial, unstained and one marked by hard work. “Putting the nation first and putting a full stop on efforts to instigate the students and marring the atmosphere through lies, confusion and rumours, Pradhan resigned from his position. The resignation he tendered on moral grounds will help in dispel the negativity being spread among students as part of a conspiracy. Pradhan also said that the nation is foremost for him, from the perspective of preventing the students from being misled by anti national and foreign powers. Considering national sentiment and the atmosphere created in the nation, Pradhan decided to resign from his position. This clearly shows that the decision was taken in the interests of the nation and for the welfare of the students,” the BJP State chief said.
Alluding to the role of anti national and opposition political powers behind the agitation, Bhatt said that the students are being misguided on this issue. The agitation was supposedly being undertaken on the issue of the NEET paper leak whereas the re-examination was held and the results were also declared. Acknowledging its responsibility towards each and every student, the government is working on putting in place a permanent solution to copying and paper leaks. “Pradhan’s resignation on moral grounds will send a positive message also to those students who have nothing to do with all this. The Modi government always works in accordance with public sentiments. The Modi government never hesitates from taking major and stern decisions whenever an attempt is made to misguide the public,” he said.
Bhatt also appealed to the students to not be worried and desist from being misguided as long as they have PM Modi to take care of them.
