CBI celebrates 145th Founder’s Day with ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’

Central Bank of India, Dehradun Region, celebrated the bank’s 145th Founder’s Day on Sunday to commemorate the birth anniversary of its founder Sorabji Pochkhanawala. This
year, the Founder’s Day was dedicated to environmental conservation and respect for mothers, with the theme Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam. At the event held at Gandhi Park, the bank’s officers and employees planted saplings in the names of their respective mothers.
Regional head Rajat Bajaj said that the ideals of Pochkhanawala were centred around self-reliance, trust, service and commitment to the nation. Celebrating the Founder’s Day by planting trees also symbolises the bank’s commitment towards fulfilling its social responsibilities as well, he added.
