Selja charges up State Congress organisation for VS polls

The in-charge of Uttarakhand Congress, Kumari Selja, took a brainstorming session with the heads of the frontal organisations, departments and cells of the Pradesh Congress Committee here on Tuesday.  The meeting assumes significance in view of the Vidhan Sabha elections of 2027. In the meeting, Selja directed the leaders that they should extensively tour the State to strengthen the Congress organization and should actively reach out to the public. “The people of the State are pained by the policies of the BJP government. Congress workers must go out to the public and raise their voices strongly regarding the injustice against Dalits, the safety and respect of women, rising unemployment and the problems of the youth,’’ she said.

She added that every Congress worker should consider the public’s problems as their own and strive for their solutions. “All departments and cells of the organization should not remain confined to paper but should be active on the ground and establish direct communication with the public,’’ she said. 

 Selja informed that the PCC will soon appoint in-charges for districts, Mahanagar and assembly constituencies. All in-charges should go to their designated districts, Mahanagar and assembly constituencies, coordinate with senior Congress leaders and workers and gear up the party organisation for the Vidhan Sabha elections, she said.

The PCC president Ganesh Godiyal said that elections are won not only through the efforts of leaders but through the hard work of united and dedicated workers. Therefore, every office bearer must work for the organization with complete loyalty, discipline and dedication, the PCC president said. 

He called upon Congress leaders and workers to become the voice of the people by factually opposing the BJP government’s anti-people policies and wrong decisions.
