While speaking of the 52nd All India Oriental Conference slated at the University of Patanjali from October 29 to 31, Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev said on Saturday that this conference is all set to prove an important opportunity for the preservation, promotion and global dissemination of Indian knowledge tradition, Sanskrit culture and oriental sciences.

Notably, given the enthusiasm for the conference generated among students, researchers, and scholars from India and abroad, the last date for registration has been extended to October 10.Nearly 1,000 students have registered so far.

“This conference will not only be a platform for scholarly discussion, but also become an important medium for understanding India’s wealth of knowledge, bringing its scientific and practical aspects to the fore, and connecting the new generation with its glorious tradition,” he added.

He further said that the gathering of scholars from various disciplines on one platform would provide an opportunity for broad and meaningful discussions on the various dimensions of the Indian knowledge tradition. He called upon students, researchers, teachers and all those curious about Indian culture and our ancient heritage from across the country to participate in the conference.

“Patanjali’s core mission is to establish the Indian knowledge tradition in a modern context through the integration of heritage and science, research and understanding, vision and expertise. The wisdom contained in India’s ancient sciences is not only a legacy of the past, but can also provide useful guidance for addressing many challenges of the present and future. This knowledge needs to be seriously studied, researched, tested, and reinterpreted in modern contexts,” he remarked.
