Covid-19 tally climbs to 58360 in U’khand

Six deaths, 336 fresh cases reported on Monday. Recovery rate improves to 88.22 %
The death toll from the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Uttarakhand climbed to 933 on Monday with the state health department reporting the death of six patients. The department reported 336 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Monday. The state now has 58360 patients with the disease. The authorities discharged 504 patients of the disease after their recovery from different hospitals of the state on Monday. A total of 51486 patients have so far recovered from the disease. The recovery rate from the disease has climbed to 88.22 and the Infection Rate (IR) is at 6.61 percent.
Two patients of Covid-19 were reported dead at Sushila Tiwari government hospital Haldwani on Monday. A similar number of deaths were reported from Kailash hospital Dehradun. One patient each succumbed to the disease at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh and Mahant Indiresh hospital Dehradun.
The authorities reported 84 patients from Dehradun while 82 patients were reported from Pauri district on Monday. In Chamoli 62 patients were reported while 25 patients from Nainital, 19 from Udham Singh Nagar, 18 from Uttarkashi, 16 from Haridwar, 10 from Pithoragarh, eight from Rudraprayag, four each from Bageshwar and Champawat, three from Tehri and one from Almora was reported on Monday.
Out of 504 patients discharged on the day, 138 are from Dehradun, 86 from Rudraprayag, 59 from Tehri, 37 from Nainital, 33 from Haridwar, 25 from Pithoragarh and 21 each from Udham Singh Nagar and Almora.
The state now has 5527 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district with 1743 active cases is at top of table while Haridwar with 738 active cases is on second spot. Nainital has 580, Pauri 523, Udham Singh Nagar 352, Uttarkashi 298, Chamoli 276, Tehri 241, Pithoragarh 187, Champawat 184, Almora 159 and Rudraprayag 133 active cases of the disease. With 113 active cases of Covid-19, Bageshwar is at the bottom of the table of active cases in Uttarakhand.
