On the occasion of 72nd Republic Day, all the licensed liquor shops will remain closed in Dehradun district from late night on January 25. As per the orders of district magistrate Ashish Kumar Srivastava, all the liquor shops will remain closed from 10 PM on January 25 till 10 AM in January 27.
DM instructed all sub-divisional magistrates (SDMs) to ensure the implementation of this order stating that none of the liquor shops should be open within the restricted time period in their respective areas. Moreover, Srivastava also directed the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) to monitor and restrict the illegal selling of liquor across the district in the defined time.
