41 new Covid-19 cases, 64 recoveries in U’khand on Friday

The state health department reported 41 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 64 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Friday. No death from the disease was reported in the state on the day.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,42,023 while a total of 3,27,979 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state 7362 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is now at 95.89 and the sample positivity rate on Thursday was at 0.16 per cent in the state. The authorities collected 28,300 samples in different parts of the state on the day.
The state health department reported 11 new patients of Covid -19 from Udham Singh Nagar, seven from Dehradun, five each from Nainital and Rudraprayag, four from Haridwar, two from Pithoragarh and one each from Bageshwar and Pauri on Friday. No new cases of the disease were reported from Chamoli, Champawat, Tehri and Uttarkashi districts on the day.
The state now has 645 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district is at top of the table in the list of active cases with 262 patients while Udham Singh Nagar is in the second position with 74 active cases. Udham Singh Nagar has 66, Nainital 51, Haridwar 39, Rudraprayag 31, Chamoli 30, Champawat 24, Almora 18, Uttarkashi 17, Tehri 12, Bageshwar 11 and Pauri ten cases each of the disease.
The state reported no new case of Mucormycosis (Black fungus) on Friday. A total of 555 patients of Black Fungus have been reported till date in the state and out of them 124 have died. In the ongoing vaccination drive 86,869 people were vaccinated in 706 sessions held on Friday in different parts of the state. A total of 44,04,566 beneficiaries have been partially vaccinated in the state while 14,16,123 beneficiaries have received both doses of the vaccine in Uttarakhand.
