The DAV- PG College, the biggest college of the state released the third and last merit list for admission in first year courses of the college. The admissions on the basis of this list would end on October 10.
The list was uploaded on the website of DAV –PG College, www.davpgcollege.in on the day. The media in-charge of the college Hariom Sharma said that the cut off for the third waiting list of Bachelor of Arts (BA) first year students is 71.60 per cent (General), 68.40 per cent (OBC), 62.40 per cent (SC), and 71.40 per cent (ST) while for the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) first year Physics, Chemistry, Maths (PCM) combination the cut off is 79.80 per cent (general), 78.60 per cent (OBC), 66 per cent (SC) and 76.60 per cent. For the B.Sc. First year Chemistry, Botany, Zoology (CBZ) combination, the students with less than 74.20 per cent (general), 72.80 per cent (OBC), 64.20 per cent (SC) and 71 per cent ( ST) would not be able to get admission. For Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) the cut off is 74.20 per cent (general), 61 per cent (OBC), 44.20 per cent (SC) and 55 per cent (ST).
Sharma said that the admission process would be online and the students would have to visit the website of the department. The online admissions would be from October 9 to October 10.
