A covid war room will be set up in Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital amid the rising cases of Omicron variant in the country. This is not the first time a war room has been set up. The city of Dehradun had experienced shortage of hospital beds, oxygen cylinders during the second wave of the pandemic and a war room will help combat the adverse situation. At present, the hospital is equipped with three functional oxygen-generating plants. It has lacked an MRI (Magnetic resonance imaging) facility for the last two years however a machine is in the process of getting installed.
