Backdoor re-appointment of even dismissed officials just before announcement of the Assembly election schedule has created an odd situation in the state. Stating this, the Uttarakhand Congress Garhwal division spokesperson Garima Dasauni said that reappointment of Nandan Singh Bisht to the post of public relations officer in the chief minister’s office after his dismissal for questionable action in a case pertaining to illegal mining is bewildering especially as his reappointment was made on the very date of his dismissal- December 11. She questioned that if Bisht was not involved in the case of illegal mining, should one take it that the CM arbitrarily dismissed him to save face? The people of the state and opposition have full right to know the conclusion of inquiry of the whole incident and who is guilty. She further alleged that CM Pushkar Singh Dhami had insulted police personnel after first announcing that he will implement their old grade pay and then declaring one time amount of Rs two lakh. Various groups including unemployed pharmacists, dentists, nursing candidates, contract workers and Yoga trainers are highly disappointed with the government. The youth and women of Uttarakhand have also decided to vote out this corrupt government in the ensuing assembly elections, added Dasauni.
It will be recalled that The Pioneer had carried a report on the reappointment of Bisht following his dismissal from the post of PRO in the chief minister’s office.
