ITM Dehradun concludes after lively interactions

The business to business travel and tourism showcase and conclave, India Travel Mart (ITM)-Dehradun concluded on Saturday. The event organisers said that they had received a good response from members of the travel trade fraternity.
During ITM-Dehradun one to one interactions along with video presentations were held between the officials of Gujarat Tourism, Uttarakhand Tourism and hoteliers from Bhimtal, Haridwar, Dehradun, Mussoorie, Delhi and members of the travel trade fraternity.
During the session and presentations, state tourism officials highlighted the lesser known destinations, wildlife tourism, heritage tourism, adventure and eco tourism, religious tourism, cuisines, fair and festivals of their respective states, customised packages being offered along with innovations and promotions being undertaken.
On the concluding day on Saturday Gujarat Tourism won the best stall award for promoting World UNESCO Heritage Site Dholavira and the Statue of Unity. Uttarakhand Tourism got the best stall award for home stay, adventure and tourism investment promotion. Uttarakhand Tourism deputy director Yogendra Gangwar spoke about adventure tourism in the state. He said that in ITM, the tourism department dwelt on the possibilities of tourism in Uttarakhand through various videos.
