One death, 40 new Covid-19 patients in U’khand
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state drops to 482

The state health department reported death of one patient from novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 40 new patients of the disease in Uttarakhand on Monday. The active case count in the state has come below the 500 figure mark.
The authorities also declared 91 patients cured on the day. The department has so far detected 91,661 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 87,704 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 269 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.68 per cent on Monday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 0.64 per cent on the day.
The health department reported 13 new patients from Dehradun, nine from Haridwar, six from Pauri and four from Almora on Monday. Similarly three patients were found in Chamoli, two each in Rudraprayag and Udham Singh Nagar and one from Nainital on the day. No new patient was detected from Bageshwar, Champawat, Pithoragarh, Tehri and Uttarkashi districts on the day.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 482. Dehradun with 217 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 53 active cases of the disease. Tehri is at the bottom of the table with four active cases. In the ongoing vaccination drive 10,836 people were vaccinated in 823 sessions in the state held on Monday.
