Cultural exchange programme ends at All Saints’ College

A week-long cultural exchange programme at the All Saints’ College here concluded with colourful folk music and dance performances based on the cultures of Rajasthan and Uttarakhand on the weekend. Students of the host school and Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls Public School, Jodhpur shared information about the two States. The school girls from Rajasthan said that the frequently changing weather of Nainital is worth researching, while adding that the affinity of the people of Uttarakhand makes this State unique. The students from Jodhpur presented a dance on a Rajasthani folk song while students of All Saints’ College also presented dances on Uttarakhand’s folk songs. A friendly basketball match was also held between students of the two schools during the exchange programme. All Saints’ College principal Kiran Jeremiah said that such joint programmes are very important for imparting practical education. She said that the seven-day programme was equal to seven books. The principal of Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls Public School, Neera Singh also thanked the host school on the occasion. The cultural exchange programme had been held under the aegis of Round Square and was aimed at enhancing the development of students through observation and experience.
