Reacting to the allegations of irregularities, the Chairman of the State Health Authority (SHA) DK Kotia has said that there is no possibility of making payment to closed hospitals in the Ayushman scheme.
Interacting with the media persons here on Tuesday, Kotia said that everything right from the treatment, claims and payments is online and all the hospitals that are empanelled under the scheme have to undergo a long process of claim registration and settlement.
It is worth mentioning here that the former Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Ganesh Godiyal had recently levelled serious allegations of corruption on the health minister Dhan Singh Rawat and had claimed that payments are being made to the non-functional and closed hospitals under the Ayushman scheme.
Kotia said that 47.32 lakh cards have so far been made under the scheme and a total of 5.17 lakh beneficiaries have availed the benefit under the scheme. The state government has so far made a payment of Rs 868 crore in the Ayushman scheme.
