With the Aakrosh Mashal Rally slated on Tuesday on the aborted women reservation bill, the Women Empowerment and Child Development (WECD) department minister Rekha Arya said that the women across the State would gather and pour out their anger on the opposition parties for their conspiracy to thwart the bill.
While addressing a media conference on Monday, she said that the parties which stonewalled the bill would face the wrath of the women. “The presentation of the bill in the Parliament revealed the Centre’s sincerity and commitment to the cause. We are sure that the bill will become an act thanks to the determination of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” she added.
She made a scathing attack on the dynastic parties like Congress, Samajwadi Party and Rashtriya Janata Dal. “In these parties, women from specific families are being granted undeclared reservations. But ordinary women are being deprived of their empowerment,” she added.
