AAP leader Gahlot switches into saffron camp

PIONEER NEWS SERVICE

Ending speculations, the former Delhi minister and senior AAP leader Kailash Gahlot joined the BJP on Monday, a day after he quit the party, alleging that the party had drifted away from its core values. He joined the saffron party at its headquarters in the presence of Union ministers Manohar Lal Khattar and Harsh Malhotra, Delhi unit president Virendra Sachdeva and national media head Anil Baluni among others.  Immediately after joining the BJP, Gahlot said that his move had nothing to do with ED and CBI pressure. “That the AAP has compromised its values has prompted my move,” he averred. The BJP hopes that this switch would  boost its prospects in the upcoming Assembly polls.
