In the meeting, he directed all returning officers (RO) and electoral registration officers (ERO) to log in to the portal twice daily (morning and evening) to review SIR work and ensure regular monitoring of progress. He directed that 100 per cent of the enumeration form distribution work be completed by June 18 and the relevant details be updated on the portal. He said that the completed forms received should be uploaded to the portal immediately. Jogdande directed the assistant district election officer to prepare a special action plan in areas where progress is relatively slow and coordinate with the concerned RO and ERO.
The ACEO directed that special camps be organized in housing societies, office complexes and other public locations to connect as many citizens as possible to the campaign. He also stressed the need to increase publicity through various media to create widespread public awareness and motivate voters to fill out forms.
He said that in addition to completing the form distribution work within the stipulated time frame, digitization work should also be completed as per the target. In polling stations where progress is slow, the officers concerned were instructed to personally monitor and coordinate with the booth level officers (BLO) and technical staff to quickly resolve the causes of delays.
The ACEO was informed in the meeting that there are a total of 13,76,813 voters in the district and 3,27,236 enumeration forms have been distributed so far.
