Eminent scientist Bhagwati Prasad Bhatt will be the new vice chancellor of the Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Uttarakhand Horticulture and Forestry University, Bharsar, Pauri Garhwal.
The orders of appointment of Bhatt were given by the governor and chancellor of the university lieutenant general (retd) Gurmeet Singh on Thursday.
His appointment has been made for a period of three years from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders. Bhatt is currently working as an officer on special duty (OSD) at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi.
