PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun
Uttarakhand Berozgar Sangh (UBS) has suspended its eight day long agitation following the acceptance of its demand of a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) paper leak case. Announcing the decision, the president of the UBS, Ram Kandwal said that the agitation is not being withdrawn but it is being deferred. He warned that the UBS will resume the agitation if the UKSSSC examination conducted on September 21 is not cancelled within ten days.
Speaking on the occasion, the president of Uttarakhand Swabhiman Morcha Bobby Panwar said that the gesture of CM to visit the agitation site and announce CBI investigation is appreciable. He said that he will continue to fight for the cause of students and the unemployed. Terming CM’s announcement of CBI probe as the victory of the unemployed, Panwar thanked social organisations, parents of the students, ex-servicemen, coaching centres, political parties and others who supported the cause of unemployment.
