Sangathan Srijan to rejuvenate Congress organisation: Tagore

The member of Congress Working Committee (CWC) and Lok Sabha member Mannikam Tagore said that the Sangathan Srijan programme is a healthy selection process to rejuvenate and organise the party organisation in the country. Interacting with the mediapersons at Rajiv Bhawan here on Tuesday, Tagore who is the All India Congress Committee (CWC) observer for the Sangathan Srijan programme for Mahanagar unit of Dehradun said that now the district and Mahanagar presidents of the Congress party will be made on the basis of the opinion given by the ground level workers of the party. He said that the Sangathan Srijan programme is commencing simultaneously in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Jharkhand and Odisha and will continue for next two weeks.

He informed that a panel of names for the posts of district and Mahanagar presidents will be made after consultation with the ground workers, people of Congress ideology and those who had contested local bodies, cooperative, Vidhan Sabha and Lok Sabha elections.  Tagore said that he will hold interaction with more than 1500 people in the entire exercise with the help of Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) observers Ranjit Singh Rawat, Tahir Ali and Jot Singh Rawat.

In response to a question he said that leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi has exposed BJP’s theft of votes done in collusion with the Election Commission of India due to which the BJP has become very desperate and is trying to divert attention from the issue. He said that it is a matter of grave concern that Dehradun is named among ten most unsafe cities for women in the country.

PCC observer Ranjit Singh Rawat said that the observers will submit their report to the central leadership till September 13.

Observers Tahir Ali, Jot Singh Rawat, former ministers Harak Singh Rawat, Hira Singh Bisht and other party leaders accompanied Tagore.
