The Sports and Youth Welfare minister Rekha Arya stated that the country’s path to development is contingent upon individuals adhering to the Constitution. She made these remarks during a walk organised from Pavilion Ground to mark in the Constitution Day here on Tuesday. The walk commenced from Pavilion Ground and concluded at the Ambedkar Park at Clock Tower.

Arya expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for dedicating this significant day to Ambedkar, who provided the country with the Constitution and the vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.” She emphasised that despite the undesirable treatment Ambedkar faced from his birth until the drafting of the Constitution, he persevered, using education and knowledge as his tools of empowerment.

She urged the younger generation to draw inspiration from Ambedkar’s life, noting that with determination and hard work, individuals can overcome life’s challenges. Arya emphasised that for India to progress, it is essential for everyone to work in accordance with the Constitution. Only then can the country advance on the path of development and remain sovereign as “Akhand Bharat.”
