The Dehradun district administration declared two more areas as containment zones after Covid-19 positive patients were found in the district on Monday. Besides this, the administration also lifted the lockdown from Mussorie’s Galway Cottage area and St. George’s School, Barlow Ganj area which were declared a containment zone on March 12.Under the Uttarakhand Epidemic Disease COVID-19 Regulation 2020 and the Disaster Management Act 2005, the administration declared an area in Sahaspur village of Vikasnagar and the nearby area of Haryali Enclave in lower Natthanpur as the containment zones on Monday.
The district magistrate, Ashish Kumar Srivastava informed that the lockdown has been imposed in these containment zones for a minimum 14 days. He directed all the departments concerned including the district supply office, dairy department and urban local bodies to provide all the required items and services to the locals during this period. He also appealed to the people in containment zones to contact the officials immediately through the numbers 7534826066 and 01352724506 if they experience fever, cough or cold to get immediate medical services on time.
