AIIMS Rishikesh signs MoU with British Medical Journal to publish Journal of Medical Evidence

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh has signed a memorandum of understanding and a publishing agreement with the British Medical Journal (BMJ) to take over publication of the Journal of Medical Evidence (JME), the official publication of AIIMS Rishikesh. The signing ceremony was held in the presence of AIIMS Rishikesh director Meenu Singh, editor-in-chief Samiran Nundy, managing editor Dr Ajeet Singh Bhadoria and others from the institute along with Prashant Mishra representing BMJ. This landmark agreement marks the transition of JME from Wolters Kluwer to BMJ as its publishing partner for the next five years. The Journal of Medical Evidence, launched in 2020, has been published regularly and punctually with consistent quality, academic rigor, and growing international readership. The journal is indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). Nundy said, “This partnership with BMJ is a prestigious milestone that will enhance the global visibility and scholarly impact of our journal. It reflects AIIMS Rishikesh’s dedication to advancing high-quality medical evidence and academic excellence.” This collaboration with BMJ is expected to elevate the global reach, visibility, and scholarly impact of JME, further strengthening AIIMS Rishikesh’s commitment to advancing medical evidence and promoting academic excellence.
