Alumnus Sudhanshu Trivedi exhorts GBPUAT students to research & innovate

While inaugurating the ‘Gyan Diksha 2026’ organised by Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar on Saturday, the Rajya Sabha member, orator and alumnus of the university, Sudhanshu Trivedi said that this is not just an educational institution that grants degrees, but a powerful school that develops personality and leadership skills while instilling life values.   “The four years of university life are the golden period for a student, the memories of which continue to provide him with energy and inspiration all through his life,” he affirmed.

He further said that today’s era demands the knowledge to be acquired be put into innovative practice.  “Students must inculcate positive thinking and creativity along with social responsibility,” he said, adding that they must pursue research, patents, innovation and a startup culture to thrive in this fast-changing world. Reminiscing about his student days at the university, Trivedi said that he treasures the precious moments he had spent in Pantnagar.  
He also freely expressed his views on science, technology, quantum computing, cosmic energy, consciousness and modern education system and exhorted students to face new challenges with unshakable self-confidence. “Science and philosophy complement each other and a blend of both makes one’s life successful and meaningful,” he added.  
While speaking of social media and digital platforms, he said that these are impacting students; life deeply.  “But they must use them constructively,” he advised.
