Am not leaving Congress, act against person weakening party- Pritam Singh

Amidst speculation and media reports on the possibility of a senior Congress leader all set to join the Bharatiya Janata Party, senior Congress leader Pritam Singh has said that he is not leaving the party. Without taking any names, he said that action should be taken by the Congress central leadership against any person who is making one-sided statements and using the social media to weaken the party in the state.
Talking to media persons here on Saturday, Singh recalled that his association with the Congress has been since his father’s time. Stating that two central leaders of the party had talked of factionalism in the party here and that his name was also mention in this, he said that if it is proved that he had spoken against any party leader, worked against a party candidate or done anything to weaken the party, he would accept any action decided by the central leadership. Without naming senior party leader and former chief minister Harish Rawat, he said that the party should also take cognisance of and take action against the person who is making one-sided statements and using the social media to weaken the party.
