The ambassador of Romania to India Daniela Mariana Sezonov Tane met Dehradun mayor Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’ on Monday. The Dehradun Mayor said that it was a courtesy meeting in which they talked about various similarities in the Romanian city Piatra Neamt and Dehradun and discussed the challenges both face regarding sanitation and garbage disposal among other issues. He said that the ambassador pointed out several geographical similarities between Dehradun and Piatra Neamt and talked about how both cities can assist each other in sustainable development works. It is being said that Tane has been visiting various cities in the country to start certain development projects and might start one such project in Dehradun in upcoming months in association with the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD).
