In celebration of World Cleanup Day and in anticipation of the forthcoming 72nd birthday of Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma) slated on September 27, the students, faculty and non-teaching staff of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Haridwar campus participated in a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, focusing on the temple premises near the campus.
Before the activities began, the principal, B Rajathilagam declared that cleanliness is next to godliness, reminding everyone of Amma’s vision of Amala Bharat (Clean India).
The students actively cleaned the temple premises and its surrounding areas, demonstrating a deep sense of responsibility and community spirit in tune with Amma’s message of selfless service and the spirit of World Cleanup Day — One Earth, One Family, One Future.
