Scientist of ICAR-IISWC presented with ‘Uttarakhand Ratan’ award

The principal scientist (Forestry) and head, Human Resource Development and Social Sciences division at the ICAR–Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation (ICAR-IISWC), Dehradun, Charan Singh has been conferred with the ‘Uttarakhand Ratan’ award at the 47th All India Conference of Intellectuals (AICOI) organised recently at Subharti University, Dehradun. He received this award in recognition of his outstanding contribution in forestry, soil and water conservation and integrated watershed management, said a senior officer at the institute, adding that his oeuvre of work comprised over 250 research publications, including four authored books, and over 100 research papers published in prestigious national and international journals.
