PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun

In a meeting with senior officials at the Secretariat on Monday, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the anti-conversion act should be made more stringent to prevent even a single case of religious conversion. Besides, he suggested imparting counselling to those found in the conversion traps. He directed police to be more alert on the issue.

Further, he expressed satisfaction over the success of the Operation Kalnemi so far and added that the campaign would continue. “An SIT should be formed at the level of police headquarters to monitor its progress,” he stated.
