The Pradesh Congress Committee president Ganesh Godiyal alleged that the State government is sidelining public interest issues and simply patting its back. He claimed that many persons from the Bharatiya Janata Party are likely to join the Congress in the coming days. Godiyal opined that the government is misusing government funds on organising programmes to mark the completion of its four years in office. At the same time, the State government is failing to effectively handle unemployment, price rise, deteriorating law and order situation and the exploitation of women, he alleged.
Interacting with media persons at a programme in Ghansali on Sunday, the PCC president said that many more are likely to leave the BJP and join the Congress party in the coming days. This clearly shows that those connected with the BJP are getting frustrated with the ideology and working culture of the party.
He further averred that the energy, dedication and the will to struggle in Congress party workers shows that every party worker is prepared to work strongly in the coming Vidhan Sabha election to bring about a change by getting the BJP out of power. “The people are increasingly looking towards the Congress with hope. This is the reason why political leaders with influence are joining the party,” he said.
Reiterating that more leaders will join the Congress in the coming days, the PCC president expressed confidence stating that the Congress will return to power in the 2027 election.
