Army’s Biennial CBRN Exercise 2025-27 concludes in Doon

The Indian Army, in coordination with civil administration and emergency response agencies, conducted the Biennial Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Exercise 2025-27 on March 25 and 26 at Birpur Cantonment, Dehradun. The exercise aimed to enhance preparedness and strengthen coordination among various agencies to effectively respond to emergencies involving hazardous materials.

The exercise involved joint participation by Army teams, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), civil police, fire brigade and medical teams. A simulated scenario of a chemical leak at an industrial facility was carried out to practice the response on ground. The Army teams quickly assessed the situation, secured the affected area and set up facilities to manage contamination. Medical teams conducted casualty evacuation and treatment drills, while SDRF, civil police, and the fire brigade carried out rescue operations, fire fighting, perimeter security, and crowd management.

 The coordinated actions of all agencies demonstrated a high level of preparedness and the ability to effectively manage complex emergency situations.
