The doctors and staff of the Government B D Pandey District Hospital welcomed the senior ophthalmologist Dr G S Titiyal at the Kumaon divisional office of Medical Health and Family Welfare. Later, addressing them, he said that a hospital could not run without the support of its nursing and technical staff. “They are the backbone of a hospital,” he said, adding that B D Pandey Hospital is an important medical facility. He stressed on a survey being conducted across the State to identify the most prevalent disease and the areas where medical facilities should be enhanced. Besides, he dwelt on the growing importance of telemedicine facility.
Among those present on the occasion were the Nainital municipality chairperson Saraswati Khetwal and PMS, Government BD Pandey District Hospital, Dr Tarun Kumar Tamta.
