PIONEER NEWS SERVICE | Dehradun

Dehradun District Magistrate Savin Bansal will hold a multi-purpose camp in Tyuni on March 20 to ensure that government welfare schemes reach rural and remote areas of the district. This initiative will allow local residents to benefit from various services, including pension distribution, health check-ups and the issuance of essential certificates.

As part of the efforts to address local concerns, Bansal will also participate in a conclave of newly formed forest panchayats at Chirmiri Top in Chakrata on March 19. The DM said that this conclave will focus on strengthening forest panchayats, with discussions on providing disaster relief funds at the district administration level for the first time. The funds are expected to help prevent forest fires and enhance the capacity of fire watchers.

Besides this, the DM will visit Hanol temple premises and engage with locals and priests to discuss the master plan and expansion proposals for the temple. He will also attend a conclave of 200 newly established forest panchayats in Koti Kanasar. The multi-purpose camp will streamline applications and processes for various welfare schemes, including Ayushman cards, pension schemes, income certificates, farmer credit cards, and employment-oriented training, all under one roof.

Bansal has directed all departmental officials to attend the camp fully prepared to provide on-the-spot services to residents. He stated that any negligence in this effort will not be tolerated. He stated that the administration aims to bridge the gap between the government and remote villages, ensuring that essential services reach even the most inaccessible areas.
