Coming close on the heels of the firing incident in a private school in Kashipur in which a student, on being scolded, shot a teacher, an unidentified student gave a false threat of blowing up a private school located on Nainital Road in Bazpur. As soon as the threat was received, the administration and police stirred into action. A bomb squad and a dog squad rushed to the school and searched it thoroughly. Meanwhile, panicky parents reached to take their children back home.
The school management later caught the accused student and handed him over to the police. During interrogation, the student admitted to having given the bomb threat because of his lack of confidence to sit in the examination.
