NCR to be part of developmental mainstream now: Dhami

The Bharatiya Janata Party celebrated its victory it the Delhi Vidhan Sabha electin here on Saturday. Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt along with other party leaders and workers shared sweets and celebrated the party’s victory in the Delhi polls. Speaking on the occasion, Dhami said that the electoral victory in Delhi is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s gurantee’s victory. Stating that the double-engine government will double the pace of development in Delhi, he said that the BJP will fulfill all the promises it had made in its election manifesto.
Talking to the media, Dhami said that the BJP has returned to office in Delhi after a gap of 27 years, which is a result of PM Modi’s guarantee which basically ensures the development sought by the people. “The BJP has a track record of fulfilling the promises made in its election manifesto and this will be done in Delhi too. Delhi was suffering from a governance tainted by lies, corruption and deceit which resulted in various scams. The public voted against this,” the CM said. He referred to the clinic scam, smart class scam and scams in cleaning of the Yamuna river, the liquor scame, stating that the AAP government in Delhi duped the people and ended up turning Delhi into the most polluted capital city. “Records are being set in development wherever the double-engine government is in office, with Uttarakhand also being a prime example. We have set developmental benchmarks under PM Modi’s guidance in the State, which is why the BJP is being repeatedly re-elected by the people. Delhi’s actual development is now guaranteed with the BJP being elected to office. Earlier, the government did little more than duping the people of Delhi, turning the city into the most polluted capital. The double-engine government elected by the people will work at a doubled pace to facilitate development and public welfare,” Dhami said.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhatt said that BJP’s electoral victory in Delhi is historic. “This win will ensure that the national capital region will be linked with the mainstream of development being experienced across the nation. The common people across sections of society will now get the benefit of the public welfare schemes of the government. When it comes to the Uttarakhand natives residing in Delhi, they supported the BJP in a big way and ensure the party’s victory,” the BJP State president said.
Cabinet minister Ganesh Joshit, BJP State general secretary (Organisation) Ajaey Kumar, general secretary Aditya Kothari, MLAs Vinod Chamoli, Savita Kapoor, Khajan Das, Umesh Sharma and others were also present on the occasion.
